7. Day-to-day use
7.1 Manual sync and logs
From the web console you can run sync immediately for a configuration (manual / high-priority run). Useful after changing settings or when you do not want to wait for the timer.
Logs
- In-app log list: Recent operations in chronological order.
- Export: Plain text / TSV-style download for spreadsheets.
On disk, examples:
| OS | Location |
|---|---|
| Windows | C:\ProgramData\HandbookXAggregationTool\log\ (daily files) |
| Mac | log under /Library/Application Support/HandbookXAggregationTool |
On Mac, stdout/stderr may also go to logs/stdout.log per service configuration—check both during diagnostics.
Updates
When your organization provides a new installer or package, upgrade per their process. Before upgrading:
- Pick a quiet window if large syncs are running
- Capture screenshots or exports of critical settings if policy allows
