Appendix C. About Account Permissions

In Handbook X Coordinator, available features differ based on user account permissions. This appendix explains the details of each account permission and available features.

Note: Account Permission is an organization-level permission. For permissions within workgroups (Sharing Privilege), see D. About Sharing Privileges.

Types of Account Permissions

Cloud Version Account Permissions

In the cloud version (my.handbookx.com), the following account permissions are available:

Account Permission Description
Owner Organization owner. All features available
Admin User with administrative privileges
Normal Standard user
Reader User with view-only access

Dedicated Server Version Account Permissions

In the dedicated server version (Enterprise Plan), the following account permissions are available:

Account Permission Description
Owner Organization owner. All features available
Admin User with administrative privileges. Can manage accounts, view statistics, etc.
Normal Standard user. Can create and edit books
NoEx (No Export) User with restricted export functionality
Reader User with view-only access

How to Set Account Permissions

Cloud Version

In the cloud version, organization-level account permissions are automatically set when the account is created.

Note: The Accounts tab is not displayed in the cloud version. Permissions within workgroups (Sharing Privileges) are set when inviting members.

Dedicated Server Version

In the dedicated server version, you can set account permissions for each user in the Accounts tab.

  1. Select the target user in the account list
  2. Open the edit dialog
  3. Select the account permission
  4. Save

Relationship Between Account Permission and Sharing Privilege

Handbook X Coordinator has two different permission systems: Account Permission and Sharing Privilege.
