6. Messages

Use the messaging feature to communicate with users within your workgroup.

Message Screen

Select "Messages" from the side menu to display the message screen.

Toolbar

Position Item Description
Left Menu Open the side menu
Left Search Search messages
Center Title Displays "Messages"
Right Refresh Refresh the message list
Right Compose Create a new message

Message List

The screen displays a message list divided into two sections: "Received" and "Sent".

Received Section

Sent Section

Message Display Content

Each message displays the following information:

Item Description
Unread Mark A blue dot is displayed for unread messages (received only)
Sender/Recipient Sender name (when received) or recipient name (when sent)
Date/Time Date and time of sending/receiving
Subject Message subject (up to 2 lines)

Viewing Messages

Tap a message in the message list to display its contents.

Displayed Content

While viewing a message, use the up/down arrow buttons in the toolbar to move to the previous/next message.

Creating Messages

You can create and send new messages.

Steps to Create

  1. Tap the compose button (pen icon) on the right side of the toolbar
  2. The message composition screen opens
  3. Enter the required information:
  4. To: Select recipients
  5. Subject: Message subject
  6. Body: Message content
  7. Tap "Send"

Input Limits

Each message field has the following limits:

Field Maximum
Subject 256 characters
Body 1,000,000 characters
Recipients 10,000

Note: An error occurs and sending fails if these limits are exceeded.

Composition Screen Toolbar

Position Item Description
Left Close (×) Cancel composition (draft save option available)
Center Title Displays "New Message"
Right Insert Link Insert a universal link to a book/section in the body
Right Send Send the message

Draft Saving

Tapping the close (×) button while composing displays the following options:

Selecting Recipients

Select recipients for the message.

Search and Select

  1. Enter a name in the search field of the recipient field
  2. Matching workgroups/members are displayed
  3. Tap an item to select it
  4. You can add multiple recipients

Select from List

  1. Tap the "+" button in the recipient field
  2. A workgroup/member list is displayed
  3. Tap an item to select it
  4. Tap "Done"

Removing a Recipient

Tap the "×" button on a selected recipient to remove it.

You can insert universal links to books or sections in the message body.

  1. While composing the body, tap the insert link button in the toolbar
  2. The book selection screen opens
  3. Select the book or section you want to link to
  4. The link is inserted into the body

Searching Messages

  1. Tap the search button on the left side of the toolbar
  2. Enter a search term in the search bar
  3. Messages matching the title, body, or sender/recipient name are displayed
  4. Tap the cancel button to end the search

Hiding Received Messages

Received messages cannot be deleted, but they can be hidden.

How to Hide

  1. Long press the message you want to hide
  2. Select "Hide" from the context menu
  3. The message is hidden from the list

Note: Only read messages can be hidden. Please open unread messages first.

Showing Hidden Messages

  1. Tap the "Show All (N)" button in the received section header
  2. Previously hidden messages will reappear

Deleting Sent Messages

Sent messages can be deleted. Deleting a message permanently removes it from the server, and recipients will no longer see it.

Deleting Individually

  1. Long press the message you want to delete
  2. Select "Delete" from the context menu
  3. Tap "OK" in the confirmation dialog

Deleting Multiple Messages

  1. Tap the "Edit" button in the sent section header
  2. Enter edit mode; messages can be multi-selected
  3. Tap messages to select them
  4. Tap the trash icon
  5. Tap "OK" in the confirmation dialog
  6. Tap "Done" to exit edit mode

Note: Deleted messages cannot be restored.
