1. Introduction
Welcome to the Handbook X iOS/Mac app. This manual explains how to use the app's basic features.
Overview
Handbook X is a mobile content management (MCM) application for securely managing and distributing business content.
Key Features
- Book Management: Manage various content types including PDFs, images, videos, and web pages as books
- Offline Viewing: Downloaded content can be viewed without an internet connection
- Secure Sharing: Share content securely using workgroups and access codes
- Calendar Integration: Manage schedules alongside content
- Memo Feature: Create handwritten notes and PDF annotations
- Messaging: Send and receive messages between users
- Exams & Surveys: Take exams and respond to surveys created with Question Studio
Terminology
| Term | Description |

| Book | A unit that contains content. Consists of multiple sections |
| Section | A content unit within a book. PDF, image, video, web page, etc. |
| Workgroup | A group unit for managing users and content |
| Access Code | A temporary code for accessing books |
| Group | A unit for grouping users. Used in sharing settings |
System Requirements
iOS/iPadOS
- OS Version: iOS 16.0 / iPadOS 16.0 or later
- Compatible Devices:
- iPhone 8 or later
- iPad (6th generation) or later
- iPad mini (5th generation) or later
- iPad Air (3rd generation) or later
- All iPad Pro models
- Storage: 100MB or more free space (content requires additional space)
- Network: Internet connection required for initial login and sync
macOS
- OS Version: macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later
- Compatible Macs:
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) Macs
- Intel-based Macs (2017 or later)
- Storage: 200MB or more free space
- Network: Internet connection required for initial login and sync
Installation
iOS/iPadOS
- Open the App Store
- Search for "Handbook X"
- Tap "Get" to install
- After installation, tap the icon on the home screen to launch
macOS
- Open the Mac App Store
- Search for "Handbook X"
- Click "Get" to install
- After installation, launch Handbook X from Launchpad or the Applications folder
Note: For enterprise deployment, MDM (Mobile Device Management) deployment is supported. Contact your system administrator for details.
Screen Layout
The app's main screen consists of the following elements.
Navigation Bar
Located at the top of the screen with the following elements:
- Menu Button: Located in the top left. Tap to display the side menu
- Title: Shows the current screen name
- Action Buttons: Screen-specific action buttons (search, sort, etc.)
Side Menu
A panel that appears on the left when you tap the menu button. Access the following items:

Content Area
The central part of the main screen where content for each feature is displayed.
Tab Bar (iPhone)
On iPhone, a tab bar is displayed at the bottom for quick access to main screens.
