2. Login & Sign Up

To use the app, you need to log in with a Handbook X account.

Login Screen

When you launch the app for the first time, the login screen is displayed.

There are three login methods: - Login with email address and password - Login with Apple ID - Login with Google account

Login with Email

1. Enter your email address

2. Enter your email address on the login screen

3. Enter your password

4. Enter your password in the password field

5. Tap "Login"

6. Upon successful authentication, you'll be taken to the book list screen

For dedicated server users: Configure your server URL in "Server Settings" at the bottom of the login screen before logging in.

Social Login

You can log in using your Apple ID or Google account.

Login with Apple ID

1. Tap "Sign in with Apple" on the login screen
2. Authenticate with Face ID/Touch ID or Apple ID password
3. On first login, select email sharing preferences
4. Upon successful authentication, you'll be taken to the book list screen

Login with Google Account

1. Tap "Sign in with Google" on the login screen
2. Select or log in to your Google account
3. Upon successful authentication, you'll be taken to the book list screen

Create New Account (Sign Up)

If you don't have a Handbook X account, you can create one.

1. Tap "Sign Up" or "Create Account" on the login screen

2. Enter your email address

3. Enter a valid email address

4. This email address will be your login ID

5. Set a password

6. Password must meet the following requirements:

   • At least 8 characters
   • Include letters and numbers
   • Include uppercase and lowercase letters

7. Tap "Sign Up"

8. Enter verification code

9. A verification code will be sent to your email address
10. Enter the 6-digit code from the email

11. The code is valid for 10 minutes

12. Once verified, you'll be automatically logged in and taken to the book list screen

Note: If you don't receive the verification email, check your spam folder.

Sign Up with Invitation Code

If you've received an invitation code from a workgroup administrator, you can use it to sign up.

1. Tap "Sign Up with Invitation Code" on the login screen

2. Enter the invitation code

3. Enter the invitation code you received from the administrator

4. Enter required information

5. Email address (if not preset)
6. Password

7. Name, etc.

8. Tap "Sign Up"

9. You'll be automatically logged in as a member of the workgroup

Forgot Password

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it.

1. Tap "Forgot Password?" on the login screen

2. Enter your email address

3. Enter the email address registered with your account

4. Tap "Reset Password"

5. A password reset email will be sent

6. Tap the link in the email

7. A password reset page will open in your browser

8. Set a new password

9. Enter and save your new password

10. Return to the app and log in with your new password

Offline Mode

If you remain logged in, you can use the app without an internet connection.

• Downloaded books can be viewed
• New content will sync when you're back online
• Some features (sharing settings, message sending, etc.) are limited while offline

If "Offline" is displayed at the top of the screen, there is no network connection.
