4. Section List
When you click a book, the section list screen is displayed.
Section List Screen
All sections in the book are displayed. You can switch between grid view and list view.
Screen Layout
Navigation Bar
- Top left: Back button (←) - Return to book list
- Center: Book name (title)
- Top right: Toolbar (various action buttons)
Toolbar Icons (from left to right)
With edit permissions: 1. Refresh icon (↻): Sync book/sections 2. Sort icon: Change section display order (Manual/Section Name/Created/Updated/Size) 3. Auto-play icon: Configure and start auto-play of multiple sections 4. Edit icon (pencil): Enter edit mode 5. Reorder mode icon: Reorder sections by drag and drop (only shown when sort is "Manual") 6. View toggle icon: Switch between grid view/list view
Without edit permissions: - Only auto-play icon and view toggle icon are shown
Section Display Area
- Grid view: Display sections as cards
- List view: Display sections in a list format
Add Button
- "+" button at bottom right: Create new section (only shown with edit permissions)
Section Display Information
Each section shows the following information:

Bookmarks
You can set bookmarks (labels) on sections to highlight important sections.
Setting Bookmarks
- Click the ribbon icon at the top right of a section in the section list
- "Edit Bookmark" dialog appears
- Configure the following settings:
- Bookmark: Turn on switch to enable bookmark
- Use Custom Label: Enter optional label text
- Color: Select from 5 colors (blue, red, green, orange, purple)
- Click "Save" to save settings
Bookmark Display
Sections with bookmarks are displayed as follows:
In Grid View: - Label band: If a custom label is entered, a colored band appears at the top of the section card with the label text displayed in white - Ribbon icon: A ribbon icon filled with the selected color appears at the top right
In List View: - Label text: If a custom label is entered, the label text is displayed in the selected color to the right of the section name - Ribbon icon: A ribbon icon filled with the selected color appears at the right end
Removing Bookmarks
- Click the ribbon icon of a bookmarked section
- In "Edit Bookmark" dialog, turn off the "Bookmark" switch
- Click "Save"
Creating Sections
If you have edit permissions, you can create new sections.
- Click the "+" button at the bottom right
- A menu appears. Select content type to add:
- Add Photos and Videos: Select photos or video files to create sections
- Add Files: Select PDF, image, video, etc. to create sections
- Add Website: Add web page URL as section
- Import Section File: Import exported .hbs section files
Adding Multiple Files
Select PDF, image, video, etc. from File Explorer to create sections.
How to Add Files
- Select "+" → "Add Files"
- File selection dialog opens
- Select files to add (multiple selection available)
- "New Section" dialog appears:
- Section Title: Enter the section name
- Put all file in one section: When on, all selected files are combined into one section. When off, separate sections are created for each file
- Section Content: Shows added files. Click "Add Files" or "Add Website" to add more content
- Click "Done" at the top right to save
Supported File Formats
PDF - Page turning, zoom, thumbnail display supported - Full screen display available
Images - JPEG, PNG, GIF (animation supported), WebP, BMP
Videos - MP4 (H.264/H.265), AVI, WMV, MOV - Play/pause, seek operations
Adding Websites
Add web page links as sections.
How to Add Websites
- Select "+" → "Add Website"
- "New Web Section" dialog appears
- Enter URL
- Enter section title (page title is auto-fetched if omitted)
- Click "Done" at the top right to save
Web Section Features
- Displayed in in-app browser
- JavaScript supported
- Browsing history is not saved
Note: Web sections cannot be displayed offline.
Importing Section Files
Import section files exported from Handbook X (.hbs format).
Import Method
- Select "+" → "Import Section File"
- File selection dialog opens
- Select .hbs file to import
- Section is added to the book
Note: Only .hbs files exported from Handbook X can be imported.
Reordering Sections
You can change the section display order.
Changing Sort Criteria
- Click the sort icon
in the toolbar - Sort menu appears. Select sort criteria:
- Manually: Reorder freely by drag and drop
- Section Name: Alphabetical order
- Section Creation Date: Order by section creation date
- Updated Date: Order by last update date
- Section Size: Order by file size
- The currently selected criteria shows a checkmark (✓)
- To toggle ascending/descending order, click the arrow icon (↑/↓) next to the criteria
Manual Reorder Mode
When sort criteria is "Manually", you can change section order by drag and drop.
Entering Reorder Mode
- Click the reorder mode icon
in the toolbar - This icon is only shown when sort criteria is "Manually"
- Enter "Reorder Sections" mode
Moving Sections
- Drag the section you want to move
- Drop at target position
- You can continue reordering multiple sections
Confirming/Canceling Reorder
- Confirm: Click "Save" button at top right to save
- Cancel: Click "Cancel" button at top left to discard changes
Editing and Deleting Sections
Sections with edit permissions can be edited or deleted.
Note: To edit sections, you need edit permissions and the book must be downloaded (local mode). Sections in cloud reference books cannot be edited.
Entering Edit Mode
- Click the edit button (pencil icon) in the toolbar
- In edit mode, the screen changes as follows:
- Top left: "Select All" button (select/deselect all sections at once)
- Top center: Selection status display ("N sections selected")
- Top right: "Done" button (exit edit mode)
- Top left (slider): Thumbnail size adjustment (grid view only, adjust with -/+ buttons and slider)
- Top right of each section: Selection checkbox (circular icon, in grid view)
- Bottom: Action bar (Edit, Copy, Map View, Export, Details, Delete)
- Click a section to select it, and a blue checkmark will appear
Action Bar Buttons
The action bar has the following buttons (from left to right). Enabled/disabled status changes based on selection count and permissions:

Note: "Edit" and "Details" buttons are disabled when multiple items are selected.
Editing Sections
- In edit mode, select one section to edit
- Click "Edit" at bottom
- Section edit dialog appears:
- Title bar: "Cancel" on the left, section name in the center, "Done" button on the right
- Section Title:
- Title: Edit section name
- Description: Edit section description
- Section Content:
- Existing content is displayed (can be deleted with the red "−" button on the left)
- "Add Files": Add new files
- "Add Website": Add new website
- Click "Done" at the top right to save
Deleting Sections
- In edit mode, select sections to delete (multiple selection available)
- Click "Delete" at bottom
- "Alert" dialog appears
- Confirm the message "Delete selected items?"
- Click "OK" to execute deletion (or "Cancel" to abort)
Warning: Deleted sections cannot be restored.
Exiting Edit Mode
- Click "Done" button at top right to exit edit mode
Auto-play
You can automatically play multiple sections in sequence from the section list screen.
Starting Auto-play
- Click the auto-play icon
in the toolbar - "Auto-play" dialog appears

Title bar: - Close: Close the dialog (top left) - Deselect All: Deselect all sections - Auto-play: Dialog title (center) - Play: Start auto-play (top right)
Description: "Selected sections will be played automatically. To exit full screen mode, tap the bottom right of the screen 3 times, or press the ESC key if a keyboard is available."
Auto-play Settings
Repeat Playback - When on, repeats from the beginning after playing all sections
Play image sections for same duration - When on, same playback time applies to all image sections - When off, playback time can be set individually per section
Playback Time - Shown when "Play image sections for same duration" is on - Set display time for each image section in seconds (default: 5 seconds) - Change with -/+ buttons
Select sections to play - Select sections to play with checkboxes - Individual playback time (seconds) is shown to the right of each section - When "Play image sections for same duration" is off, you can set time per section
Starting Playback
- Click "Play" button at top right to start auto-play
- Automatically enters full screen mode
Ending Auto-play
To end auto-play: - Triple-tap the bottom right of the screen - Press ESC key
Note: Auto-play is not available on the Free plan. Upgrade to a paid plan (Personal, Team, Business, etc.) to enable this feature.
