8. Messages

Use the messaging feature to communicate with users within your workgroup.

Message Screen

Select "Messages" from the side menu to display the message screen.

Toolbar

Position Item Description
Left Menu Open side menu
Left Search Search messages
Center Title Displays "Messages"
Right Refresh Refresh message list
Right Compose Create new message

Message List

The message list is displayed on the left side of the screen, divided into two sections: "Inbox" and "Sent".

Inbox Section

Message Display

Each message displays the following information:

Item Description
Unread Mark Blue dot for unread messages (inbox only)
Sender/Recipient Sender name (inbox) or recipient name (sent)
Date/Time Send/receive date and time
Title Message subject (max 2 lines)

Viewing Messages

Tap a message in the list to display its content on the right side of the screen.

Displayed Content

While viewing a message, use the up/down arrow buttons in the toolbar to move to previous/next messages.

Creating Messages

You can create and send new messages.

Creation Steps

  1. Tap the compose button (pen icon) on the right side of the toolbar
  2. The message creation screen opens
  3. Enter required information:
  4. To: Select recipients
  5. Subject: Message subject
  6. Body: Message content
  7. Tap "Send"

Input Limits

Each message field has the following limits:

Field Maximum Characters/Count
Subject 256 characters
Body 1,000,000 characters
Recipients 10,000

Note: Exceeding the limit will result in an error and the message cannot be sent.

Compose Screen Toolbar

Position Item Description
Left Close (×) Cancel creation (with draft save option)
Center Title Displays "New Message"
Right Insert Link Insert universal link to book/section in body
Right Send Send the message

Draft Saving

When you tap the close (×) button during composition, the following options are displayed:

Selecting Recipients

Select message recipients.

Search Selection

  1. Enter a name in the search field in the To area
  2. Matching workgroups/members are displayed
  3. Tap the item you want to select
  4. Multiple recipients can be added

List Selection

  1. Tap the "+" button in the To area
  2. Workgroup/member list is displayed
  3. Tap items you want to select
  4. Tap "Done"

Removing Recipients

Tap the "×" button on a selected recipient to remove it.

You can insert universal links to books or sections in the message body.

  1. Tap the insert link button in the toolbar while composing body
  2. Book selection screen opens
  3. Select the book or section you want to link
  4. Link is inserted in the body

Searching Messages

  1. Tap the search button on the left side of the toolbar
  2. Enter search term in the search bar
  3. Messages matching title, body, or sender/recipient name are displayed
  4. Tap Cancel to exit search

Hiding Received Messages

Received messages cannot be deleted, but can be hidden.

How to Hide

  1. Swipe left on the message you want to hide
  2. Tap the "Hide" button
  3. The message is hidden from the list

Note: Only read messages can be hidden. Please open unread messages first.

Showing Hidden Messages

  1. Tap the "Show Hidden(N)" button in the inbox section header
  2. Previously hidden messages are displayed again

Deleting Sent Messages

Sent messages can be deleted. Deletion completely removes the message from the server, and recipients will no longer be able to see the deleted message.

Delete Individually

  1. Swipe left on the message you want to delete
  2. Tap the "Delete" button
  3. Tap "OK" in the confirmation dialog

Delete Multiple

  1. Tap the "Edit" button in the Sent section header
  2. Enter edit mode where you can select multiple messages
  3. Tap messages to select them
  4. Tap the trash button
  5. Tap "OK" in the confirmation dialog
  6. Tap "Done" to exit edit mode

Note: Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
