13. Question Studio
Question Studio is a feature for creating and managing exams and surveys.
Note: This feature is only available for accounts with the Question Studio feature enabled.
Screen Layout
Select "Question Studio" from the side menu to display the Question Studio screen.
3 Tabs
There are 3 tabs at the top of the screen:

Creating Exams & Surveys: Workflow
The basic workflow for creating and publishing exams or surveys is as follows:
1. Create Questions (Questions Tab)
First, create questions for use in exams or surveys on the "Questions" tab.
2. Create a Question Book (Books Tab)
Next, create an exam book or survey book on the "Books" tab and add your questions to it.
3. Publish the Question Book
Publish the question book so that users can take exams or answer surveys.

Search
A "Search Questions" search bar is available below the tabs to search questions by keyword.
Question List
Created questions are displayed as cards in a list. Each question shows:
- Question icon (color and icon vary by question type)
- Question text
Creating a Question
- Tap the "+" button
- The "Add Question" dialog appears
- Select the "Exam" or "Survey" tab
- Select a question type (each type is shown as a colored button)
- Enter the question content
- Set the answer choices and correct answers
- Tap "Save"
Editing a Question
- Double-tap a question
- The edit screen appears
- Modify the content
- Tap "Save"
Edit Mode
Tap the edit (pencil icon) button to enter edit mode.

Importing Questions
- Tap the import button
- Select a question file (.qbz, .hqz, .hbz)

- Select the questions to export in the export dialog
- The export is executed
Question Types
Question Studio offers two categories of questions: "Exam" and "Survey".
Exam Question Types (6 Types)
Question types for use in exam books. Correct answers can be set for scoring.

Survey Question Types (3 Types)
Question types for use in survey books. No correct answers are set; they are used to collect responses.

Fill-in
A question format where blanks (fill-in answer fields) are created within a text, and examinees enter the correct answers.

Answer Field Settings
- Tapping "Add Answer Field" inserts a numbered answer field like
((1))at the cursor position in the question text - Numbers enclosed in double parentheses become fill-in answer fields
- Multiple correct answers can be set for each field (when multiple correct answers are acceptable)
Sort
A question format where multiple choices are arranged in the correct order.

Answer Settings
- Set answers in the correct order following the instruction "Set answers in the correct order from top to bottom"
- Three answer fields are provided initially
- Tap "+ Add Answer" to add more
- Drag the handle (three lines) on the right side of each answer to change the order
- Tap the red minus button on the left to delete an answer
Pin Selection
A question format where the correct positions on an image are marked with pins.

Answer Settings
- Set an image in the answer area (tap the image icon in the upper right)
- Follow the instruction "Tap the photo to add pins. Correct answers are indicated by green pins" and tap on the image to add pins
- Added pins are labeled A, B, C, etc.
- For each pin:
- A title can be set
- A "Correct" checkbox marks whether it is a correct answer
- Green pins indicate correct answers; other colors indicate incorrect answers
- Pins can be repositioned by dragging
Connection
A question format where items on the left are correctly matched with items on the right.

Answer Settings
- Following the instruction "Each row represents an answer candidate," set pairs one by one
- Each "Answer Pair" has:
- Blue circle icon: Enter the left-side item
- Green square icon: Enter the right-side item
- Two answer pairs are provided initially
- Tap "+ Add Answer Pair" to add more
- Tap the red minus button on the right to delete a pair

A question format where the correct answer is chosen from multiple choices. Multiple correct answers are also supported.

Partial Scoring
For exam questions with multiple answers per question, partial credit can be awarded for partially correct responses.

How to Configure Partial Scoring
- In the question edit screen, eligible questions display "(Partial Scoring Available)"
- Tap "Set Partial Scoring" to enable the feature
- Set individual scores for each answer (blank, choice, etc.)
- The total score for the question equals the sum of individual scores
Scoring Rules
- Fill-in, Sort, Connection: Scores for correct answers are accumulated
- Pin Selection, Selection, Image Selection: Partial credit is awarded only when only correct answers are selected. Selecting even one incorrect answer results in 0 points
Tip: Using partial scoring allows for a more detailed evaluation of examinee comprehension.
Survey Question Type Details
10-Point Rating
A question format that asks for a rating on a scale from 0 to 10. Suitable for NPS (Net Promoter Score) and similar evaluations.

Publishing a Question Book
- Enter edit mode
- Select the book to publish
- Tap the "Publish" button
- A revision update confirmation dialog appears
- The publishing process is executed
Published books become accessible to users according to the configured settings.
Editing a Question Book
- In edit mode, select one book and tap "Edit"
- Or double-tap the book
On the edit screen, you can: - Change the title - Change the cover image - Set the time limit - Add, delete, or reorder questions
Exporting a Question Book
- In edit mode, select the book to export
- Tap the "Export" button
- Select the save destination folder
- The book is exported in .hqz format
Deleting a Question Book
- In edit mode, select the book to delete
- Tap the "Delete" button
- Tap "OK" in the confirmation dialog

A tab for viewing answer results for published question books.
